Ben Wilkoff's collection of Educational Technology resources

I am compiling this wiki in order to provide a gateway to new technology and ideas for all who care to visit. The topics explored here are ones that I believe are the most relevant to seeing the internet as a tool for understanding. They will appeal mostly to fellow teachers who are interested in technology integration, students of all ages wanting to know more about both digital and print literacy, and thinkers who need something to think about.

I have organized a few hundred resources into categorical pages. Unlike my Del.icio.us account (a searchable list of all of my bookmarks on these subjects), all of the links represented here are explained in detail. Most of these explanations speak to how I think these ideas and technologies can best be used both in the classroom and in daily life. I believe that having an easy to understand, easily navigated entrance into the world of Web 2.0, RSS, Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, and others is vitally important to teachers, students, parents, and anyone else who is interested. I just hope that this site can provide that kind of support to some of you.

One note: If you know of new/better resources out there, please e-mail me (benjamin.wilkoff@dcsdk12.org) and I will either update the corresponding page or give you the password to this Wiki so you can update it yourself.

I realize that you may not have found this wiki through my classroom website, but if you would like to find out more about me and my teaching methods, go here.
